Conversion Capacity
Optimus is accustomed to working with terabytes of data in a variety of formats.  Proprietary administrative processes and data management software enable us to respond to large data conversion project requirements in an extremely timely manner.  Currently we have storage capacity of over 220 terabytes of data and simultaneously process data on more than 200 processors.  Data is currently processed at a rate of 500,000 pages per day with a media burn capacity of over 10 terabytes per month.

Data Security & Chain of Custody
Electronic data processing must be completely fail-safe when tracking the chain of custody for every piece of electronic evidence to protect admissibility.  Audit reports are completed at every step, from the intake of the data to final data delivery, ensuring full verification. Optimus provides a detailed audit report that contains the name of original storage media, the number of files within each piece of storage media, the number of files converted to image, the number of images rendered from the conversion and a full listing of  files not converted.

The Optimus Conversion Process
Optimus’ discovery management process is designed for meticulous tracking of all electronic data.  Our tracking system creates a detailed audit trail that can be used in court to prove chain of custody.  Optimus provides the following conversion services:

• Data Extraction – Optimus will extract data from all types of media to include PST and NSF files (mail archives), CD’s, DVD’s, servers, stand alone hard drives and backup tapes
• Spread Sheet Formatting – Optimus will reveal embedded information such as, hidden columns and rows, hidden comments, embedded files, embedded notes and comments.
• Database Creation – Optimus will create a database that contains captured metadata and important file information.
• Data Culling – Optimus will cull documents electronically to eliminate duplicate and irrelevant documents. The de-duplication methodology used guarantees that documents are deemed duplicates only when there is absolutely no difference. 
• Key Word Searching – Optimus performs client-specific searches (key word, phrase, proximity, date, etc.) to focus the client's review to a narrower responsive set. Optimus searches the text of an e-mail for responsive words, phrases and other character patterns.
• Document Conversion – Optimus will convert documents to a uniform image format using proprietary technology for optimal output.  This process includes automated quality control checks as well as technical specialist oversight to monitor quality controls, locking in data integrity.

Data Delivery
